CAN Jos North advise Security personnel to be professional, ethical on line of duty
The Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) Jos North Chapter of Plateau State has called on security personnel to be professional and ethical in the discharge of their duty in the State.
Jos North CAN Coordinator Rev. Fr. Polycarp Gana and Secretary Rev. Ezekiel Dazi Nyam in a press statement issued on Monday in Jos expressed sadness and condemns what has been happening in Jos North LGA since Monday 9th of August, 2021 to 15th August, 2021 that led to loss of lives.
The Statement notes that human life is sacred and no one has right to take it away.
CAN however condemn the killings of commuters along the Rukuba road by whoever were involved as well as the killings and attacks on innocent students and passers-by along Bauchi Road of Jos North LGA.
The association also advised Government to investigate the attack on the 5 citizens of Yalwan Zangam who were macheted last week.
“We equally condemn the attack on passengers along Farin Gada/tomato market in the vehicle with registration number PL 39A09 and called on the state Government to ascertain the location and status of the passengers.
“We are hereby, appealing to the citizens especially the Christian faithful to remain law abiding and report any suspicious movements and people to relevant authorities.
“We plead with the government to reduce the grief of families by the prompt trial and unconditional release of the innocent youths who were apprehended by some security agencies.
The association calls on Christians to remain prayerful in these challenging and trying moments for the eternal repose of those who have died and fortitude to their families to bear their loss.
