Afghan chaos: Two persons holding US military plane attempting to flee Kabul fell off midair
There was horror in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan on Monday as two citizens who held onto the United States military plane fell off midair.
CAPITAL POST which monitored the developments reports that the US military aircraft was evacuating its personnel from Kabul as Taliban overran the government of the day while President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani has fled the country.
Earlier, the Taliban fighters have occupied the presidential palace without resistance, showing that the government has collapsed.
Dozens of people desperate to flee Afghanistan where the Taliban has taken over control scrambled to jump on to flights leaving Kabul. After chaos erupted at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, all civilian flights were suspended.
Two such desperate people tied themselves to the wheels of a military plane that was taking off from the runway.
The two fell to their death from a US Air Force aircraft that was evacuating its personnel and citizens from Kabul.
Earlier on Monday, about five persons were reportedly killed as shots were fired into the over crowded Hamid Karzai International Airport as citizens and Diplomats of various countries struggle to leave the war torn country.
