Police announces arrest of IPOB Chief priest with dangerous charms, bullets
The Imo State Command of Nigeria Police has announced the arrest of a Chief Priest working for the proscribed Peoples Independent of Biafra (IPOB).
Spokesman for the Command, CSP Mike Abattam while parading the Chief Priest on Tuesday, said, he was arrested with dangerous charms and weapons.
The Chief Priest who was identified as Ikechukwu Umaefulem was arrested at his shriine in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State following intelligence report.
Weapons recovered include one pump action gun and five rounds of ammunition, including explosives, knockouts, Biafran flag and other spiritual items were recovered from him.
On Monday the IPOB declared sit-at-home in the South East region which was partially obeyed for security reasons.
