Kano Hisbah warns against sharing of ‘sinful photos’ of Bayero’s daughter’s wedding
The Islamic police in Kano, Hisbah Board has banned the sharing of pre-wedding photo of Emir of Kano’s daughter, Zahrah Ado Bayero.
The Hisbah warned that anyone caught in the act of sharing the photo would face the wrath of Islamic law, saying it’s a sin to share the photo.
Acoording to the Board in an interview with BBC Hausa in Kano on Friday, the pre-wedding photos of the Emir’s daughter
show exposed shoulders of Ms Zahrah.
Since the pre-wedding photos surfaced online, it has elicited much criticism for Hisbah, a religious police known for sanctioning people for ‘immoral behaviours and some Muslims in Kano.
The Hisbah Commander General, Harun Ibn-Sina who spoke with BBC in pidgin said, the Emir’s daughter was not above the law, saying she failed to set a good example for other Muslims to emulate.
He stressed that those Muslims Sharing the videos and pictures of Zahra have sinned.
