The year 2020 has been a year like no other in modern history. Nobody anticipated how it would go especially with the increasing number of covid 19 infections and deaths recorded worldwide. It also exposed the weakness of the global health care system and the disparity between the rich nations and the developing ones. A lot of people have been reaching out to donate and distribute palliatives to those who need it in acts of charity and with a view to sharing.

Alexandro ‘Tone’ Guerrero also known as “Hightone” is one of the few upcoming people in entertainment addressing the economic effects caused by restrictions and lockdowns with the distribution of palliatives in form of food items, groceries and sometimes cash gifts. Between February 11th – 14th 2021 he and a few of his celebrity friends embarked on a 3 day visit to locations in the city of Stockton, California to distribute groceries, food items and PPE equipment to hard hit families, single mothers, orphans and the homeless.

Change of Name

Born Alexandro ‘Tone’ Guerrero aka “Hightone” in Stockton, CA on June 21, 1995 to parents of Mexican origin. He graduated from Venture Academy High school and relocated to the Bay Area in order to pursue a career in music and music production.

When asked why he set up the initiative to give back, he explained that it was his way giving back and paying it forward. He further went on to say he knew what it was like to be born into hardship and suffering. “I know how difficult it is to think straight when you are hungry or have anyone looking out for your interest, supporting you financially” he said.

He urged fellow artists and colleagues who are better off to help those who are less fortunate than them. He said sometimes giving back or helping others doesn’t need to be monetary or in kind but can also be by kind words or comfort, pieces of advice or via mentorship programs.
