Angry youths burnt suspected armed robbers alive in Kano
Some angry youths on Wednesday pounced on suspected armed robbers and burnt them alive at Rimi village in Sumaila Local Government Area of Kano State.
Reports said that the robbers encountered the youths after they stormed the village and in the process, two of them were caught alive, one escaped.
Those caught confessed their mission in the village before they were beaten and burnt alive.
The Police Public Relations Officer DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the incident saying two of the suspected armed robbers were burnt to ashes before they could arrive at the acene.
“We have recovered knives and other weapons believed to belong to the deceased suspects.
“As of now, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Samaila Shuaibu Dikko, has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.”
The State Police called on the people not to engage in jungle justice in order not to kill innocent persons.
