Breaking: Igboho gets Court judgement stopping his arrest
The Yoruba youth agitator and secessionist, Sunday Adeyemo, alias Igboho on Wednesday got a judgement at Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan stopping the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and the Department of Secure Services (DSS) or their from arresting him.
The Court in the said judgement also submitted that his accounts should not be frozen.
Justice Ladiean Akintola gave the judgement following the exparte motion filed by Igboho’s lawyer, Chief Yomi Aliyu (SAN) at the High Court in Ibadan.
The originating motion also sought for N500 billion damages to be paid to Sunday Adeyemo over the invasion of his residence on July 1 at Ibadan that led to loss of lives and properties by security agents.
Igboho’s lawyer explained that the Court judgment was directly against AGF’s office, while expressed optimism that Malami will not disobey the order.
The case has been rescheduled for hearing on August 18 at the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan.
