Abducted Kogi pharmacist regains free
Abductors of pharmacist Abdulazeez Obajimoh have released him after spending three weeks in the kidnappers den.
His release was however with a ransom payment according to family source.
Obajimoh is the Managing Director of Azeco pharmacy, a popular pharmacy shop in Okene in Kogi Central Senatorial district and he was abducted on July 11, 2021 broad daylight at Iruvucheba community in Okene LGA.
Reports said abductors earlier demanded for N30 million ransom, out of which his family could only raise N10 million.
They rejected the N10MILLION million, but the family later added an amount which wasn’t disclosed before he was released on Friday.
Obajimoh was abducted by unknown gunmen in Iruvucheba community, Okene local government area of Kogi state, on July 11.
His release from the kidnappers den was confirmed by the Kogi State Chairman, Pharmaceuticals Society of Nigeria (PSN), Dr. Lawal Mohammed.
A source from his family indicated that Obajimoh was released on Friday, after ransom was succesfully negotiated.
