As the country gears towards, 2023 elections, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Nasarawa State chapter are now working round the clock to unseat the rulling, All Progressives Congress, APC in the State House of Assembly.
The party cacus leader in Lafia Local Government, Abdullahi Ibrahim who made this known while addressing newsmen in Lafia, the administrative seat of the State.
He said that, PDP, is now waxing stronger than ever before despite defection of some of its members to APC.
“Their defection had now given us more moral to re-tailored our home against 2023 elections.
“We in Lafia chapter of PDP, our focus now is to dethrone APC, especially at the State House of Assembly representing Lafia Central Constituency for quality, inclusiveness and better representation where our people will see and touch the dividend of democracy in their door steps not flashing promises.
He alleged that member representing the Constituency has failed not only himself, APC both entire constituents for not making any impact that have direct bearing on the lives of people he represent as a lawmaker.
“Let me challenge the APC lawmaker to be bold enough to come out and Identity single project he initiated since he was elected 2 years ago.
The PDP stalwart said as party, they are now strategizing on ways to send, APC out of the lawmaking business and replace better hand who will protect the interest of all against particular segment of the constituency.
“We have gone far with our consultations across Lafia constituency and it will interest you to note that all our outings have achieved positive results.
Ibrahim further explained that they appreciate a rousing support and show of love they received from citizens of the area.
“This is a clear testimony that people want someone who can represent them well in the State Assembly, PDP, is cure for their numerous legislative problema. He bragged.
While responding to questions by newsmen on recent PDP lawmakers’ defection in Assembly to the ruling APC, he said APC will diminish their dreams .
Abdullahi was optimistic that nothing will barricade their chances of winning Lafia central.
“Look, this answer is very simple. Those that you people are talking about they went to the Assembly under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party in 2019 decided to join the APC, that is their own business. But, just like I have mentioned earlier our target in Lafia Central constituency is no more, no less.
