Nasarawa LG election: Sule told to emulate Yahaya Bello of Kogi State

As Nasarawa State Local Government elections is knocking on the door, women in the State are advocating for more elective offices across 13 the Local Governments.
The State Assistant Financial Secretary of All Progressives Congress, APC, Princess Hassana Dodo made the request in an interview with journalists at the party secretariat along Shendam road, Lafia.
She said the state has come of age that women should be considered for elective positions to complement their efforts in bringing menfolk into power.
“Now time has come when men will compensate us with such offices to encourage us more in political participations.
“Let me use this medium to appeal to Governor Abdullahi Sule to emulate his counterpart of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello by giving women responsibilities as Vice chairpersons in all the Local Government of that state.
She commended this gigantic efforts of Governor Bello of ensuring women were carried along in government and governance not only in the state but, the country at large.
Princess Hassana Dodo emphasized the need for women to give both elective and appointive positions for better representation.
She equally advised women gender to participate fully in all political activities across board, doing so, “it will give us more ground to be in elective offices both at local, state and National level.
“I’m optimistic that our kindhearted, Governor Abdullahi Sule will consider our plights in governance.” The State APC assistant financial secretary said.
