2023: PDP Chairman, governors Ortom, Wike, hold family meeting in Makurdi
Benue State governor, Dr Samuel Ortom, Rivers State governor, Nyesom Woke and the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus met for a meeting on Monday in Makurdi, Benue State Capital.
The meeting was held at the instance of governor, Ortom, CAPITAL POST learnt.

The meeting may not be unconnected with a long time political row between Rivers governor and the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), Prince Secondus who are both indigenes of Rivers.
Unconfirmed reports said, Ortom brokered peace between the two politicians in order to put the PDP in healthy position ahead of 2023.
During the altercation, governor Wike had called Prince Uche Secondus several unprintable names including being a liar.
After the meeting, governor Ortom merely told Journalists that the meeting was about how to regain confidence of Nigerians ahead of 2023 in order to win general election.
Ortom said, “This is a family meeting for us to reason together in order to make our party more vibrant because Nigerians are waiting for us to take over the mantle of leadership at the centre in 2023.
According to him, there have been behind the scene realignment of the Peoples Democratic Party as the 2023 general election is fast approaching, particularly with meetings held across the States.
Ortom lamented the killing of aid workers in Benue State by the suspected Fulani herders, saying that President Muhammadu Buhari was not ready to address insecurity in Nigeria yet.
He revealed that a relation of his who was a 200 level at the Benue State University, Makurdi was among the eight killed in Guma Local Government Council on Sunday by the suspected armed Fulani herders.
