CAS, Amao commends Bello for exceptional leadership, promises cooperation against criminals
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao has described the leadership of the Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello as exceptional in leading his people.
The Chief of the Air Staff made the commendation on Monday while receiving the Kogi Governor in his office on a courtesy visit.
“I am very happy to receive you in my office. Well, we know the challenges we are facing at the moment, but let me assure you that Mr President has given us his mandate to clear bandits wherever they are in this country, I assure you that. We will work with you quickly as possible to sustain the security of the life and property of the people of Kogi State. So, let me assure you, Sir, that we are ready to root out bandits except they decide to leave the Nigerian soil”, he said.
While presenting memorabilia to the governor, the Chief of the Air Staff stated that the gift was in recognition of the Governor’s exceptional leadership which he was providing for his people.
Earlier, Governor Yahaya Bello said his visit to the Chief of the Air Staff was to personally condole with him, the Nigerian Airforce and the entire military over the unfortunate death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, Senior officers and pilots of the Airforce in the sad incident and for security discussion
The Governor commended AM Amao for the effort of the Nigerian Airforce in air operations against the Boko Haram and bandits in the troubled regions in Nigeria. The Governor noted that without major cooperation of the Nigerian Airforce, the successes against insecurity in Nigeria would remain minimal noting that the Air operations were yielding results.
While congratulating Air Marshal Amao, the Governor stated that attaining his current position and rank in the military service were as a result of his outstanding service and exceptional career discipline over the years.
