Unknown gunmen abducts couple in Nasarawa community
Tragedy struck in Toto Local Government of Nasarawa State as unknown gunmen abducted a couple in Ukya Sabo community.
A resident who identified himself to Journalists as Samuel said, the abductees were identified as
Yohana Isheme and his wife, Noami Yohana.
They’re abducted at about 1.00 am on Sunday July 10.
In his explaination, the gunmen invaded the community in large numbers with sophisticated weapons, positioned themselves at strategic places within the community before other gangs scaled the fence of the victims’ house.
They shot sporadically into the air which residents became scared before picking their victims into the bush.
Mr Samuel stressed: “They forced the back door after they scaled the fence and went straight into the man’s bedroom to whisk him away alongside his wife at gunpoint.”
The abducted Isheme works with Toto Local Government Council in the Health Department, while his wife is a class teacher at Local Education Authority (LEA) primary school, Tika in the area.
The head of information unit of Toto local government area, Mr Gabriel Hagai has reportedly confirmed the kidnap incident.
CAPITAL POST recalled that the incessant kidnapping and abductions in Nasarawa has become very worrisome as no day passes without cases of insecurity particularly in Toto Area of the State.
