Onu Ankpa hails DG NPC for provision of social amenities

The paramount ruler of Ankpa kingdom and Onu Ankpa, HRH Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar has lauded the efforts of the Director General, National Productivity Centre, Dr Kashim Akor that attracted the supply of three 33KVA transformers and solar street lights along Otukpo and Ibrahim Taiwo Roads uptill Ejegbo Community in the area.

In doing this, Dr Akor has contributed alot to the security of lives and properties in the area that has being a major challenge to the areas.

The Onu Ankpa who made this statement in his palace at Ofoke Ankpa, during an interactive session with media men in his palace, says the people of the area are proud of the gesture.

He said the Director General deserve accolade for single handedly attracting a genuine corporate social responsibility to the desiring communities geared towards resolving some critical infrastructural deficits.

“This is a job well done, and a major milestone that will detach Ankpa town and its environs from total darkness, the old concept to modest and model looks”.

“It also portrayed that the community still have some prominent people who has genuine cause for the rapid transformation of the ancient town.”HRH Abdulmalik Umar explained.

Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar said the lingering energy crises in Ankpa town span for over a decade, with provision of three 33kva transformers and solar lights to the streets will attract and improve more small scale businesses in Ankpa town and its environs.

He urged the well placed sons and daughters of the area to emulate the good works and community service of Dr Kashim Akor, so as to address myriads of challenges and improved social services in the area.

His Royal Highness says the communities remain grateful to the DG NPC for making life more meaningful to the people of the area, after so many years in darkness.

He appealed for more collaborative effforts from prominent indigenes of the area to relive the community in all areas.
