CCT begins hearing of cases against 22 public servants over alledged false declaration of assets
The Code of Conduct Tribunal on Wednesday commenced Court proceedings against some public servants who alledgedly didn’t declare their assets, while some falsely declare their assets before their assumption of public offices.
In a notification of Tribunal session for June, which was exclusively obtained by CAPITAL POST in Abuja and signed by the Director of Legal Services, Mrs Bintu Abubakar, informed the Chairman of the Tribubal, Justice Danladi Umar that about 22 Nigerians would be arraigned.
Part of the notification read: “We hereby notify you that the Tribunal shall have its next Court session for the month of June, 2021 at the Code of Conduct Tribunal Court Hall, headquarters complex, Daki Biyu, Jabi, Abuja.”
All the accused are for arraignment, according to the documents.
List of those to be arraigned are: Abu Iliya, Nwakor Blessing, Blessing C. Ume, Felicia U. Umuzie, Olushola S. Olushanya, Solomon S. Shainaan, Rosemary U. Okoh-Esene, Udoh Easter J., Kadiri Philip M. Nwaokolo Mariam I., James Emmanuel K., Adamu B. Tafida, FRN vs Duda T. Ismaila, FRN vs Yunusa Sabo Salifu, FRN vs Dantami Musa, FRN vs Maikasuwa Dangona Magaji, FRN vs Samson Gomna, FRN vs Karfe Agbeji, FRN vs Zephaniah Musa, and FRN vs Dissah Iliyah B.
Our correspondent who monitored the opening session on Wednesday reports that it went well as respondents made themselves available.
