Students Parliament honours Rep Ossai Nicholas Ossai, says he is a beacon of hope
The 7th Assembly of the Nigerian Students Parliament (NSP) on Wednesday in Abuja, honoured member representing Ndokwa/Ukwani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ossai Nicholas Ossai with the prime Leadership Excellence and Youth Development Ambassador Award.
The group led by their National Speaker, Rt. Hon. Michael Uwakmfon and other Principal Officers stated that the NSP is proud and deeply inspired by the towering legislative accomplishments of the Ndokwa Representative especially in the areas of sponsorship of the Collateral Registry and Moveable Assets legislation which the CBN is using today to give soft loans to Nigerians especially youth and students; his targeted youth development, empowerment and grant schemes that has touched thousands of lives in the Ndokwa nation including provision of ICT centres, classroom blocks, pipe borne water, flood devastation restore/rebuild intervention and donation of science/Arts books to library for schools, provision primary healthcare centers with hospital supplies just to mention but a few.
The Speaker while further appreciating the Ndokwa Representative for his commitment to quality representation and leadership, noted that the Leadership Award of Excellence is the highest honour of the NSP conferred only on individuals who has made sustainable impact and demonstrable development of youth/student.
In his response, the Ndokwa Representative thanked the Nigerian Students parliament delegation for the honour and used the opportunity to urge young people to work with political leaders closely in order to engender intergenerational conversations for youth mainstreaming as anchors of development.
Hon. Ossai Ossai also took some time out to mentor the delegation on Nigerian government, politics, the legislature, functions, powers, practice and procedures.
With this honour, the Ndokwa Representative has become the first Federal Legislator from Delta State to receive the award and the 58th Ambassador of the NSP across the federation of Nigeria.
