Convener of the Revolution Now and Founder of Sahara Reporters, Omoleye Sowore was reportedly shot by a female Police in Abuja

Reports reaching CAPITAL POST indicated that he was shot on the stomach at the Unity Fountain, venue of the protest.

He was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention, but it couldn’t be confirmed the specific hospital he was taken to.

Meanwhile, the development was confirmed by a human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, who wrote on Twitter that “the criminal officer is said to be an ACP. I watched Sowore being shot live on Facebook”.

“This is what Nigeria has been turned into under Buhari. They’ve declared war on the Civic Space.”
