Pastor Adeboye to visit Jos, to meet ordained RCCG Ministers
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A Adeboye has concluded plan to visit Jos, Plateau State to meet with ordained Ministers of RCCG and not for the combined interdenominational service as earlier planned.
In a statement signed by Assistant Continental Overseer/Pastor in charge Region 8, Pastor Christopher Taiwo Oni and Head of Media and Publicity, Amb. Yemi Matthew said the interdenominational service was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
“The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 8 which has its headquarters in Jos, Plateau State wishes to announce that the General Overseer, Pastor E. A Adeboye will be in Jos to meet with all ordained Ministers on Sunday 30th May, 2021.
“However, the scheduled combined interdenominational service with the General Overseer, Pastor E. A Adeboye, with the theme “Peace be Still” will no longer hold due to unforeseen circumstances.
“Meanwhile, the leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Plateau family highly regrets the inconveniences the cancellation of the much awaited combined interdenominational service might have caused all her invited guest, Christian Faithful and the public.”
The statement explained that the General Overseer had planned to host an interdenominational service with Plateau people but will now meet with only RCCG ordained ministers.
The Church urged the public.to disregard any news making round that the General Overseer, Pastor E. A Adeboye will not be in Jos and described it as baseless and mischievous.
