Police arrest Lebanese for impregnating 7 minors in Jos
A Lebanese has been arrested and detained by the Police in Jos, Plateau State in North Central Nigeria on Thursday for alledgedly impregnated 7 minors.
The foreigner who is identified as Simon, and in his 60s was arrested following a complaint from a victim of his sex escapade.
It was also alledged that he slept with 14 other minors between ages 13 to 15 around abattoir community, a suburb of Jos.
He was said to be luring and making love with them by offering them money particularly those around the Abattoir Police Station out whom seven of the girls became pregnant.
He was arrested after a complaint was lodged by the family of an 11 years old child who is one of his victim which later led to the discovery of others.
The situation triggered a protest by the community members who stormed the Police Station, chanting songs of justice for the victims but were repelled with teargas by armed policemen stationed around the community.
The spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, ASP Gabriel Ubah, who confirmed the arrest of the suspect to reporters, said an investigation is ongoing and the case has been transferred to the SCID.
The suspect’s house was later raided by angry youths in the Abattoir community.
