Abducted Kogi Council boss regains freedom
The kidnapped Chairman of Yagba West Local Government, in Kogi State, Hon. Pius Kolawole has been released.
Kolawole was abducted about five days ago while returning to Kogi State from Ilorin, Kwara State.
He was abducted after the unknown gun men opened fire on their vehicles in which the State Commissioner for Pension died.
CAPITAL POST learnt that Yagba West which has been in panic since the LG Chairman’s abduction engulfed in jubilation upon hearing his release, particularly his hometown, Egbe.
According to the family source the Council Chairman is hale and hearty and has reunited with his family and teeming supporters.
Efforts to reach the Kogi State Police Command to confirm his release and whether he was rescued by the command proved difficult as the Commissioner and the Police Public Relations Officer, William Ayah could not be reached on phone.
