Lalong’s election facilitated peace, harmony in Plateau, says CAN
The Plateau State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN says God has used the election of Governor Simon Lalong to facilitate peace and harmony in the state.
State chairman of CAN, Very Reverend Father Polycarp Lubo in a press statement to celebrate Governor Lalong as he commemorates his 58th birthday, said the chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum has promoted inter religious dialogue leading to the easing of mutual suspicion and tolerance among Christians and Muslims in the state.
Rev. Fr. Lubo said CAN as a body of Christ has enjoyed the magnanimity of Governor Lalong and his administration.
He express joy that Governor Lalong has always sought the views of critical stakeholders including CAN in the running of the affairs of the state.
The CAN Chairman describe Governor Lalong as a man of peace and rallying point for religious tolerance and accommodation.
While praying to God for long life for the Governor, Very Reverend Father Polycarp Lubo called on the Christian Community and all citizens to sustain their support for him and his administration to do more for Plateau People and Nigeria
