COVID-19: Mararaba, Karu residents defies lockdown, returns to businesses

Residents of Mararaba and Karu, a densely populated suburban in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State fully returned to businesses on Monday.
This is even when the curfew imposed by the Federal Government of Nigeria to checkmate the rapid spread of the dreaded coronavirus was yet to be lifted.
The residents who have businesses in Abuja trooped out to various locations in what looked like “the ban has been lifted”.
Commercial motorcyclists, popularly called Okada and tricyclices (Keke Napep) took advantage of the situation and were observed making brisk business, while security operatives were helplessly watching.
Food stuffs were moved from one location to another, but security operatives were stopping vehicular movement heading to Abuja city centre.
