Breaking: IPOB: Southeast governors hold emergency meeting in Enugu
Following the crisis that is engulfing the Southeast States with the latest attack on the home of Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, governors of Southeast States are currently meeting.
The meeting which is taking place in Enugu, has governors, political, religious, traditional and other leaders in attendance.
It’s being held behind closed-door.
The Enugu government House which is the venue of the meeting is heavily protected with Security operatives all over the places.
Detail of the meeting has not yet been made known yet, but source close to the Lion’s house hinted that Security issues tops the agenda.
Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma whose house lately came under attack was sighted at the Sunday’s meeting.
The meeting is being presided by the Southeast Governors’ Forum, Engr. David Umahi.
Those in attendance so far are the Chairman of the Forum and Ebonyi State Governor, Chief David Umahi, host Governor, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Deputy Governor of Imo State, Placid Njoku.
Others are the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Amb. George Obiozor, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, Archbishop of Enugu Eccleciastical Province, Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Southeast, other religions and traditional leaders, among others.
