In a statement issued and which was signed by the National Chairman of the group, Engr. Dr. Abubakar Adama and made available to CAPITAL POST explained that candidates who passed through the group’s JAMB Ad-hoc Committee’s scrutiny would be sponsored.

Change of Name

The statement reads:

“You are aware of our earlier decision to sponsor some candidates for the 2020/2021 Jamb Examinations.

“Registration for these exams has commenced. You’re also aware that our committees have not been inaugurated.

“Consequently, the Chairman has decided to constitute an ad-hoc Committee, known as “JAMB Committee” with the sole responsibility of fishing out and recommending appropriate candidates for sponsorship based on the following criteria:

“All candidates must be in SSS 3 Classes in their Schools.

“They must be of Idah LG Origin; their academic performance must fall within the best 10 in their classes.

“Both male and female candidates are to be considered.

“Parental background should also be considered but more emphasis should be placed on academic performance in school.

“Any other criterion the committee may deem necessary.”

“Your assignment is to recommend the best 200 students to be sponsored for Jamb Examinations this year. We will require their names, schools and contact phone numbers for monitoring purposes.

The JAMB/DE Ad-hoc Committee has been asked to submit report on or before Friday, 23rd April, 2021.

The statement further recalled that ‘Ujeju Ufedo kpai Unyogba Ojane Idah’ recently worked with the National Population Commission on the Enumeration Area Demarcation Exercise in Idah LG.
