Adamawa PDP: Fintiri-led Stakeholders’ meeting, ‘gang of treasury looters’ – Dr Ardo

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamawa State Chapter is in deeper crisis with governor Ahmadu Fintiri led faction on one hand, while, a party Chieftain, Dr Umar Ardo’s faction are struggling for the soul of the party.

Dr Ardo has described the meeting of the governor’s camp as, “the partakers in the current looting spree of the state’s treasury.”

In a statement he issued on Wednesday, said: “The Fintiri-led PDP’s Stakeholders meeting in Adamawa is “Not A PDP Stakeholders Meeting”, arguing that in Adamawa State the fraction “cannot truly hold a meeting of PDP Stakeholders without former Gov. Boni Haruna, Amb. Dan Suleiman, Sen. Grace Bent” and himself, the Dr. Ardo.

The statement which was issued via his social media account, Ardo insisted that “it is a meeting of Fintiri and his cohorts, the partakers in the current looting spree of the state’s treasury”.

“Our attention has been drawn to a news article reporting a meeting held of purportedly PDP’s Stakeholders of Adamawa state.

“Going through the list of those in attendance of the meeting, and most importantly, those that were absent, it is clear that it is not a meeting of PDP stakeholders by any stretch of imagination.

“In Adamawa State, you cannot truly hold a meeting of PDP Stakeholders without Gov. Boni Haruna, Amb. Dan Suleiman, Sen. Grace Bent, my humble self.

“We are the ones that joined and built this party in Adamawa from the scratch way back from 1998 and are still active members of the party.

“Without us, there can be no PDP Stakeholders in Adamawa state.

“The meeting of today, therefore, is not that of PDP Stakeholders; it is a meeting of Fintiri and his cohorts, the partakers in the current looting spree of the state’s treasury.

“In due course, we will respond to his claims in the so-called governance of the state as contained in the speech he delivered.

“PDP, and indeed Adamawa State, cannot continue in the direction Fintiri is taking the party and the State, except, if we are bend on destroying our future and the future of our children. And this, we cannot accept.

Ardo called on this he described as genuine members of the party and the indigenes and support the fight against misdemeanour by the governor, saying he would hear from them at the right time.

:I call on all genuine Adamawa PDP Stakeholders and all Adamawa indigenes of good standing to stand up and support the genuine PDP Stakeholders in the fight against the current misdemeanor and kleptocracy going on in the State in the name of governance for the sake of our present generation and the generation next to come”, the statement concluded.
