Breaking: Kidnapped RCCG members freed

Kidnapped members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have all been released.

The information which was announced by the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch E.A. on Thursday, said, the eight members of the church who were kidnapped in Kaduna on their way to the “Lets go a fishing”, have been released unhurt.

Change of Name

The victims are of RCCG, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna.

They were abducted by bandits on Kachia-Kafanchan Road on 26 March, 2021.

Adeboye announced their release on his verified Twitter handle, while expressing delight for coming out alive.

CAPITAL POST earlier reported that kidnappers have demanded N50 million ransom to be paid before setting them free.

In the tweet, Adeboye said, “Today I got the exciting news that our brethren who were in captivity of kidnappers have all been released and taken to the Hospital for checkup and tests.

Meanwhile, 5 of the 39 students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation were also released by the bandits in Kaduna.
