Bello vs Dino: Former Senator takes two bags containing evidence against governor to EFCC
The former Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino David Melaye on Wednesday honoured the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s invitation to shed light on the petition he earlier sent to it against governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
Melaye while honouring the invitation submitted additional evidence (documents) in two ‘Ghana must go’ bags.
Melaye who personally tweeted was seen flanked by other three persons on the premises of the anti-graft agency located in Jabi, along Airport Road, Abuja.
The tweet which was seen by CAPITAL POST indicated that the former lawmaker and sworn enemy of governor Yahaya Bello expressed satisfaction over the investigation by EFCC.

He tweeted:
“Anti Corruption Network team after adopting our petition at the EFCC HQ today. We submitted additional evidence against Yahaya Bello. We are satisfied with EFCC investigation so far. Alot has been achieved.
“Anti Corruption Network honoured EFCC invitation today on our petition on Governor Yahaya Bello. Submitted additional evidence.”
CAPITAL POST reports that there a statement posted on Facebook on Saturday, March 27, by the anti-graft agency which Bawa stated on Friday, March 27, when he featured on One-on-One, a programme on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) that Nigerians should stop worshipping money.
The EFCC boss said people should stop “worshipping people that have money”, and start questioning the sources of their wealth.
He said he would not do anything contrary to his conscience, and that the EFCC under his watch will abide by the law.
Bawa promised to continue to do what is right, noting that the EFCC under his watch will continue to abide by the rule of law.
