PDP suspends ex-governor for working against Jonathan seven years ago
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday slammed the former governor of Niger State with suspension for working against former President Goodluck Jonathan inb2915.
Babangida Aliyu alledgedly worked against his party (PDP) by funding the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) to the tune of N450 million, which President Muhammadu Buhari was a candidate at the time.
He was accused of championing cracks that brought PDP to its knees.
The suspension was contained was in a communique issued at the end of an emergency stakeholders’ meeting in Minna on Monday.
PDP in Chanchaga Local Government in Niger put up six weighty allegations against the former governor, where Dr. Babangida Aliyu was found culpable.
The PDP statement titled: “Notice of suspension of Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu from the PDP, Chanchaga LGA,” which was made available to journalists disclosed the ex-governor worked against PDP’s governorship candidate in Niger State, Alhaji Umar Nasko.
