Ortom visits Villa to brief Buhari on attack
Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on the attack, when he came visiting on Tuesday.
Speaking with the State House correspondents after the meeting, the governor expressed satisfaction with President Buhari’s response to the attack on his life by the suspected Fulani herdsmen.
“I am pleased with President Buhari’s reaction to the development”, saying that they shared ideas on how to manage the crisis trailing the development.
CAPITAL POST earlier reported that about 15 gunmen suspected to be herdsmen attacked the governor while on a visit to his farm in the State on Saturday.
He was trailed to his farm which is situated by the river bank along Gboko-Makurdi road, Tyo-mu when the gunmen open fire but were repelled by the governor’s security details.
This development has generated outburst and condemnations from his colleagues on the platform of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), who described as shocking and a rude awakening.
