Alledged ‘kidnap scandal’ Commissioner under investigation – Kogi government
Kogi State government on Thursday disclosed that the alleged kidnapping of a woman involving the State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Abdulmumin Danga was been investigated.
In a statement issued by the commissioner of Information, Hon Kingsley Fanwo which was made available to journalists in Lokoja on Thursday, said that Governor Yahaya Bello has ordered accelerated investigation on the matter.
According to Mr Fanwo, Gov. Yahaya Bello who is an avowed advocate of the fundamental rights of Nigerian citizens, and especially within the boundaries of our dear State is shocked by these accusations.

Mr Fanwo said that if the allegations are found to be truth, everyone found culpable will be brought to justice.
“Governor Yahaya Bello has ordered accelerated investigation into the matter and hereby assures both accuser and accused, as well as the general public, that the whole truth will be uncovered and justice served as appropriate.
“The Kogi State Government reaffirms its unalloyed commitment to the protection of everyone from all forms of oppression, and will not tolerate violence against women or children under any form or guise.
“We give our word that if these allegations are proven, everyone found culpable will be brought to justice” he said
It was allegedly that Kogi State Commissioner for water resources sent thugs to Kidnap one, Queen Nina and brutalised her in Lokoja, for challenging the Commissioner to take care of his family.
