Change of Name

But in a statement to CAPITAL POST on Saturday, the Secretary says, there is nothing wrong in successfully completing a four year term from 2017-2021, but consolidating the achievements of the current leadership few years to the 2023 elections is much desirable.

“We call on the party stakeholders at all levels in the 36 states as well as FCT to allow the status quo remained, given the success recorded in all ramifications by the Prince Uche Secondus led NWC.

“The prowes displayed as the most formidable and indefatigable opposition elements, approaching both internal and issues of national interest systematically, is a good development.

“The ongoing reconciliation from the 2019 general election, through a well thought out committee and other committees should be allowed to carry out its statutory job to the conclusion.

“The citizens rights protection through intermittent demonstrations on pressing national issues,is enough to allow Secondus led leadership to have a breath of second term as PDP National Chairman.’

“The confidence reposed on the party under the current dispensation, should not be allowed to wither under the guise of needless internal exercise, that bothers on party leadership at the national level.

He warned arty stalwarts not to allow fifth columnist and ruling party that Nigerians have already passed a vote of no confidence, regain leadership of Nigeria out of needless rancour in 2023.’

The statement further says Nigerians, “Nigerians are already looking up to the main opposition Party, PDP to come back to power to right all the wrongs both in social, economic and political life of Nigerians, therefore it is uncalled for to start anything funny now
