Some parents who spoke with CAPITAL POST said, they are passing through harrowing experiences over all manner of fees charged by the School authority which the Rector of the Institution has introduced.

Lamenting the outrageous fees, a guardian said:
“Our great concern is not far from economic downturn affecting every household as a result, COVID19 pandemic which crippled world economy.

“As indigens, we are paying N28,000 per semester just few weeks after resumption of academic activities, we struggled to pay our children fees, but only for them to call homes to informed us that after 12pm today we will pay additional N10,000.

“We are not happy with the situation. This act is capable of denying our poor children access to education.

A father of 3 students in the Polytechnic, Mr. Abraham Emos accused the school management of being insensitive, saying the development was an unfair treatment.

“As I speak to you now, I am a retired civil servant managing my little pension to see that I train my children. With this development, many parents may likely withdraw their children from the school.

On his part, Adamu Danladi also joined others in appealing to Governor Abdullahi Sule as man of honesty and fear of God to wade into the matter and call the school management to order to reconsider their decision.

“All what we are asking was that the Governor has a listening ear who doesn’t want his people to be manhandled no matter how small it is. He said.

Going down the memory lane, Danladi said late registration has always been N3000, wondering how could such amount be increased to N10,000 when the economy has not improved.

“Besides the school was established to ease educational palaver confronting indigens of getting admission and financial impediment in other institutions.
