International Women’s Day: Senator Dadu’ut vows to promote, defend rights and interests of Nigerian women
First Female Senator from Plateau state, Professor Nora Ladi Dadu’ut on Monday felicitated with Nigerian women as they celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day.
Prof Nora in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos described women especially those from Plateau South as hardworking and a pillar to their families .
She said “I am proud of women of Plateau especially those from my constituency Plateau South .”
Prof Nora who has always been an advocate for women to participate in politics said “Women deserve more opportunities in politics “.
“Our women also deserve support and encouragement to participate without discrimination in governance and public affairs in general.
Professor Nora further stressed that she would work to promote and defend the rights and interests of the Nigerian women and fight anything that would stand against their wellbeing and aspirations while in the senate .
She also vowed to empower women and Youths of her constituency at all times
