Zamfara APC offered bandits N56 million to keep Jangebe schoolgirls, Shinkafi alledges

Former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Sani Abdullah Shinkafi has accused the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara of offering money to bandits to keep the abducted Jangebe schoolgirls.

Dr. Abdullah Shinkafi who contested for governorship in 2019 on the platform of APGA, said, APC in Zamfara offered N56 million to bandits to sabotage negotiation of abducted Jangebe schoolgirls.

Speaking at a press briefing in Gusau, he said, the aim of the APC leaders was to sabotage the peace effort of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle.

Change of Name

According to him: “I, therefore, challenge politicians from both the ruling and opposition parties to subject their telephone numbers to security checks since I am confident that the story that will come out of that process would be shocking.”

He advised security agents to check telephones of some politicians from 25th of February, 2021, to the time when the girls were released, saying, it will be shocking about what they will see.

He further revealed that
some APC stalwarts who are not comfortable with the State governor want him to fail, pointing out that security operatives should work hard to curtail insecurity in Zamfara State.
