Hajiya Halima Ladi Wada: Celebrating a modern day philanthropist @ 61

Hajiya Halima Ladi Wada was the former First Lady of Kogi state between January, 2012 – January, 2016.
She clocked 61 years on 22nd February, 2021, amid low key and less funfare to mark the occassion, guaging the mood of the country.
Mrs Wada who combined both her public, private and later high profile position as former governor’s wife as well as his tendencies span over the decades as a way of life.
This had sharply contradicted her early career in Banking and later in her private businesses, that believed strongly in prudence, accountability, hardwork, and later her kindness, humility and due diligence.
The cradle of her philanthropy knew no bound, as five years after leaving office, she still indulges in her usual tendencies of humanitatian gestures which portrayed her genuine passion.
Her good gestures is not only displayed occasionally, seasonally or ceremoniously, but had become a recurring decimal not only to her political followers, but ordinary Nigerians from all walks of life.
During her stint as Mother of Kogi state, she carried out many life touching activities that gave both life and hope to the downtrodden in the society.
Aside her official programme of FOWOD, that became a programmel of advancement for the less privileged in and outside the state, as well as the skill acquisition, empowerment and capacity building programmes that improved the plight of the needy in the state, society and the people at large.
These series of life touching programmes brought succour and self sustenance to the downtrodden in the society at large.
The immediate past former first lady of Kogi State was also able to lay a solid and robust foundation through the office of the Governor’s wife, that had become a template of woman emancipation and the denied and development in Kogi state.
As you marked additional year in life, may the Almighty God continue to keep you in good health, wealth and affluence to continue to render selfless service to the masses.
