Kogi group lauds Onu’Ife chieftaincy title confered on Abubakar Idris

Ife Development Association, IDA Lokoja branch has described the chieftaincy title bestowed on Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, former PDP Governorship aspirant in Kogi State as Ochada Onu’Ife, a welcome developement.

The famous body’s position was made known by the Secretary, Jeremiah Wada while reacting to the decision of Ojogba of Ife, Chief Boniface Usman Musa to honour prominent sons of the land and by extension, Igala land.

Change of Name

The IDA scribe says the new Ochada Onu’Ife will be more closer to the palace, having established a good relationship with the elders to move the area forward.

‘It is a serious welcome development. It brings the son closer to the palace thereby relating with our elders on a closer note and gather relevant information for reformation.’

According to the body, this development will further give the recipient a sense of belonging, an indication that he is loved by all and spur him to do more for his immediate community and Kogi state at large.

‘It gives him a sense of belonging, It shows how he is loved by the land.

“This will spur him to do more for the land
Whether anybody likes it or not, Onu ife beads.’

He further said the new title has showed more of his roots to the world, thereby bringing to bare with his contemporary traditionally, to extend supports in all ramifications.

This singular opportunity is bringing him to bare with his contemporary traditionally. He will be more supportive to the palace after now’.

Conversely, the former Governorship aspirant and the new Ochada Onu’Ife will be more prepared to take the political leadership so as to encourage other variables.’

‘He will now see reasons to sell ideas and or make inputs in our traditional, political and cultural heritage.’

The IDA Secretary described the new title as highly reverred, as it will change the status and encourage him to do more for the community, Igala land, Kogi State at large.

‘Ojogba Ife is the next to Attah’s, this will change his status and encourage him to do more study of his land.’

He congratulated Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris, saying the community association at all levels will support his aspirations in all areas.
