DSS denies attempt to arrest Sunday Igboho
The Department of State Security Services never attempt to arrest the popular Yoruba Youth activist, Sunday Igboho as being speculated in some media platforms.
The DSS Public Relations Officer, Dr Peter Afunanya, in a statement described the report as fake news.
Mr Afunanya statement reads: “The Department of State Services wishes to refute the news that it attempted to arrest one Sunday Igboho, today, at Ibadan, Oyo State.
“The said news is misinforming and should be taken as fake and therefore be disregarded.”
CAPITAL POST earlier reported that the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode confirmed to newsmen that there a combined security operatives numbering 40 who attempted to violently arrest Sunday Igboho in Lagos on Friday.
Fani-Kayode warned security operatives on the implications of their action, saying, Igboho should be invited, if there was need.
