The embattled National Chaiman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Prince Uche Secondus has been accused of funding Ayo Fayose to destabilise the South West PDP.
Speaking with journalists in Osogbo, the pioneer member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Adekola Ayinla said, the inordinate ambition of Prince Unche Secondus is ruining the party.
While acknowledging the fact among the most-pressing concern is the inability of the party leaders to call the National chairman to order knowing fully well that Nigerians are eager to do away with the current government, but wonder, if the opposition, PDP is ready to make itself available as an option, as “Fayose” is alone now in political environment of the South west.”
“I don’t know the rationale behind Fayose asking Makinde to respect him, Makinde is not Fayose’s mate in all facets of life, perhaps maybe because he was a former Governor of Ekiti state.
“Fayose never win any election convincingly, his first term was with the aide of Obasanjo and his second term was with the aid of Jonathan and late Kashamu who later turned around and abuse anyhow, accused Fayose of always being an ungrateful element in politics of South West, thus, called he on Makinde to face him squarely.
Mr Ayinla said the current position occupied by the Secondus is rightly supposed to be the turn of South West and for that, Prince Secondus is very much aware that the region is seriously in need of occupying the region which has never tested affirmed that the South West slot was taken to South South and that is the position Secondus is currently enjoying.
Prince Ayinla said with stable PDP in the region, the position of the National chairman will come to its rightful place and that Prince Secondus is aware of that.
He accused Fayose of working against the party in the South West for the interest of key political players like Secondus who is desperate for second term and some big boys in APC.
Prince Akinla wondered why Fayose who is desperate to be South West leader of the opposition party is busy praising Chief Bola Tinubu of APC and abusing Chief Bode George and Seyi Makinde who are leaders of PDP.
The pioneer member said what Fayose is doing in the South West is a well thought out plan and that ever since Secondus emerged as the National Chairman, PDP in the South West has never known peace.
While calling on Engr. Seyi Makinde of Oyo state to ignore the ranting and blabbing of Fayose who has lost out of favour said, the Peoples Democratic Party must be seen to be serious by Nigerians ahead of 2023 General election.
“Fayose has attitudinal problems, he has no regard even for those who are his father’s age mate and that the so called respect, praises he is pouring on Tinubu today is with benefits, we know him.”
