Bala demolishes house with 1,000 riffles in Bauchi

Bauchi State governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has directed the demolition of a house where over 1,000 riffles were stored in Bauchi.

The house which is located in a densely populated area of Bauchi State was discovered with about 1,000 assorted weapons which the ownership has not been identified yet.

Change of Name

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr. Ladan Salihu, Bala, said the House was being demolished because about 1,000 riffles, Military camouflage, immigration uniforms were concealed in a sack and was discovered in one of the rooms in the House.

The arms were discovered by Security agents
after a tip off by an unnamed citizen.

The governor said he ordered the demolition of the house to serve as a lesson and deterrent to those hoarding arms or criminals in their hideouts.

He said, government would not spare anyone found perpetuating criminality in the State.
