Nnamdi Azikiwe International earns 2020 award despite COVID-19 challenges
The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja has earned 2020 Airport Service Quality Award.
In a letter addressed to the Managing Director of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria dated 15th February, 2020 by the Director General of Airports Council International, (ACI), Mr. Luis Felipe de Oliveira said passengers spoke well of the FAA’s handling of the airport in an excellent manner during the global trying times.
Part of the letter reads:
“I am pleased to advise that Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport has earned the 2020 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award for: Best Airport by Size and Region (5 to 15 million passengers per year in Africa).
“During this most difficult and challenging of years, your customers have spoken and recognized the successful efforts of your team in providing a superior customer experienceunder trying circumstances.
“This year, we have renewed our partnership with global travel technology company Amadeus to deliver the ASQ Awards. Amadeus supports airports in improving travel experiences for passengers all over the world and our continuing strategic partnership comes at a time when it has never been more important for airports to listen to the voice of
customers.
“We will promote and publicize this recognition to thank you and your team for your excellent performance and to serve as incentive for others to make strides towards
delivering excellent customer experience.
“I encourage you to share the good news with your customers and colleagues.
