Ag. DG NBC commends government for approval of funds for completion of digitisation project

The Acting Director General of National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Professor Armstrong Aduku Idachaba has commended the present administration for the approval of N9.43 billion for the completion of the Digital Switch Over (DSO) project.

Professor Idachaba made this statement while reacting to the approval of money to NBC, saying approval would bring to fruition the project of the organisation with the required international standards.

He expressed confidence in the chief image maker of the country and Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed over his commitement towards realising the objectives behind the new technology of Digital Switch Over DSO.

He says both the technical, economic and social aspect of the new platform will create multiple advantage to Nigerians.

“With the funds approval, all hands will be on deck to roll out in our major cities of Lagos, Kano and Port Harcourt in addition to the earlier ones already in place in Jos and Enugu and gradually spread to all the states of the Federation”, Professor Idachaba said
