Tallen revalidates APC membership, tells youths in Nigeria to take advantage
The Minister for Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has called on Nigerian women and youth, to fully participate in the ongoing membership revalidation and registration of the All Progressives Congress APC, so as enjoy dividends of democracy.
The Minister stated this on Wednesday shortly after revalidating her APC membership registration at her GRA ‘B’ Ward in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State.
She said, it is a clarion call on the teeming women and youth in the country, to seize this opportunity of obtaining the APC membership registration, in order to have the desired representation in making decisions that affect their lives at all levels of government.
She stressed that, without the registration, one can neither be elected nor appointed for any position in the government, and for the youth, having membership of the political party would avail them to fully enjoy the Not Too Young To Run Law signed by President Muhammad Buhari.
Chairman of the APC National Revalidation and Registration Committee in Plateau State Honourable Musa Mahmud maintained that, the essence of the exercise was prevent Nigerians from being disenfranchised, noting that if for any reason, the registration officers disallow any body to register, at any registration point, they shall be penalised.
APC caretaker chairman in Plateau state Latep Dabang, represented by the financial secretary of the party in the state Ustaz Ibrahim Barkin Ladi, assured that, all arrangements have been put in place to ensure a hitch free conduct of the exercise in Plateau state.
The minister who was accompanied by top party officials of the locality, was earlier at the Long Gamai’s Palace to seek for his royal blessings, where he commended president Muhammad Buhari for approving the Federal Polytechnic Shendam, which is cited in his domain.
