Ex-Councillor reveals what PDP is doing to push governor Sule’s APC out of power in Nasarawa
Despite out of power for more than 10 years, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Nasarawa State chapter are now putting their house in order with a view to re-claim power in the state.
Speaking to our correspondent, former Councilor, Lafia Government Legislative arm, Hon Agwai Bahago says that their party has every to take to return to power in 2023.
“Frankly speaking, APC, cannot be an obstacle to us in 2023, adding that I know you will ask me why we lost in 2011, the answer is simple, there was a collusion between members of our party who felt offended in one way or the other with the then governor, late Aliyu Akwe Doma and they worked against his second term bid.”
The former Lafia Local Government lawmaker, mentioned some of achievements recorded by PDP from 1999- 2011 to include establishment of State own University, Keffi, Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic Lafia, School of Health Keffi, School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lafia which has given citizens ample opportunities to attain western education.
Hon. Bahago further state that during, PDP, many Secondary Schools were established across the 3 Senatorial districts in the state for attainment of education to all.
“This is just on education furthermore, substantial number of infrastructures you are seeing in Nasarawa today it is the handwork of, PDP. He pointed out.
“For this reason we are optimistic that with the level of poverty been experienced by many families who cannot afford to shoulder their responsibilities, APC, will be send parcking and PDP, shall return without stressed. He bragg.
On the decamped of, former federal lawmaker from PDP to APC , Hon. Joseph Haruna Kigbo, Bahago said that already he lost a political values.
“Any politician who doesn’t have political ideology can be jumping from one party to another seeking for relevance and at the end will not smell it.
“The defection of Hon. Kigbo was nothing to worry about considering the caliber of politicians PDP, have. We are not afraid of anything and this will give us an added advantage over our opponent in 2023.
He applealed to party faithfuls to continue to be law abiding citizens and work for the success of the party.
