Wild jubilation trails Nasarawa CMD’s exit as staff vows to organise prayer of thanksgiving

Staff of Nasarawa State Hospitals Management Board were on Frinday thrown into wild jubilation when news of the Chief Medical Director, Dr. George Dangana hits the board of his handling over to the incoming Chief Medical Director, Dr. Egba Edego.

The staff of the board who are Civil servants jubilated that the erstwhile Chairman of the Hospitals management board was finally leaving because of his high handedness in handling the affairs of the agency.

A staff, who craved anonymity told our correspondent in Lafia, that Dr. George Dangana has outlived his relevance having spent over ten years in the board, addingv that during his tenure, the relationship between staff and the management went frosty.

He said: “To this end, many workers working under the NHMB, celebrated his exist in office, just as they are planning to organize a special prayers of thanksgiving for his removal.

Other staff who didn’t want their names in print described, Dr. Dangana’s tenure as a curse to the board for cornering everything about the board to himself and family.

They further accused the outgoing, CMD, of not taking away a round4 Jeep meant for official activities.

CAPITAL POST report that, Dr. Dangana who was the CMD, hospital management board for more than 10 years lost relevance in the eyes of both senior and junior staff of the board.

Investigation confirmed that after his removal as, CMD, Dr. Dangana was appointed, acting Manager of the State Diseases Infection Center, Lafia, which some people believed was a demotion.

Our correspondent gathered that, appointment of General Manager of Infections Control Center supposed to be a person with laboratory background and not a Medical Doctor.

As the time of going to the press both the outgoing and incoming, CMDs declined comment.
