COVID-19: Nasarawa Specialist hospital CMD cautions residents
Following the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic which Nasarawa State was not left out, a medical expert and Chuef Medical Director (CMD) of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia, Dr. Ikrama Hassan advised residents of the state to consider campaign against second wave with all sense of seriousness.
He gave the advise while interacting with journalists in his office in Lafia on Monday.
“There is a need for our people to take all COVID-19 protocols measure in order to ensure safety.
Dr. Hassan stated that the State had already recorded high number of COVID-19 cases in this second wave.
He re-emphasised that the government has fully equipped the hospital with all the necessary equipment for COVID-19 management, including ventilators.
“That the management of DASH has equally trained its staff as well as all needed facilities were on ground fully ready to fight second wave with a view to curtail infections from the pandemic.
The Chief Medical Director of DASH expressed worries over the I-don’t care behaviours of some people towards the virus.
