Kogi Socio-cultural group mourns Abdullahi, SAN
Kogi Socio-cultural group, Ojujuagbadufu Igala Forum mourned the demise of Abdullahi Ibrahim, SAN.
The group on Sunday in a statement which was signed by the President in Council, Mr. Christopher Ukwenya, and sent to CAPITAL POST expressed deep sorrow over the death of Abdullahi, saying, the Igala kingdom has been badly affected.
The statement described the late legal minesfield as an accomplished elderstatesman, who’s words of wisdom would be missed at a time that he is needed most.
The group recalled the late Abdullahi’s interventions in socio-cultural, and political issues as well as his unfettered commitment to the advancement of Igala land, lamenting that the likes of the late foremost lawyer would be difficult to see.
The statement noted: “Late Abdullahi Ibrahim was undoubtedly an accomplished public and private servant in his legal field.
“It is on record that he was the first to be conferred with the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in the north, which made Igala Kingdom and Nigeria at large proud.
“Each time there is crisis in Igala land, he would ensure that government’s attention was brought to it and interestingly, he was such a man that has never been tribalistic as Minister for Justice and in his continued closeness to the corridors of power.”
“Late Abdullahi served on several advisory board on behalf of the Federal government and his legal opinion on issues were nonetheless contributory to government’s wisest decisions on international diplomatic issues.”
The Ojujuagbadufu urged the State and Federal government to immortalise him for his contribution to the advancement of the country.
