Street construction: Residents commends Lafia LG boss, Maifata

Lafia community residents have have showered their commendation on the Council Chairman, Hon. Aminu Mua’zu Maifata for the construction of Abuja Street to New Market Street in Lafia.

Given the commendation, some residents of the area described bad road as major challenges in the recent.past, but the construction and rehabilitation by the LG boss has brought them reliefs.

A resident who spoke with our correspondent in Lafia said: “Frankly speaking, if this road is completed, it would go along way in tackling most of our problems, especially during the rainy season.

Mr. Uche Chukwuma a businessman who is residing within the area disclosed, saying, “I leave in this place for more than 30 years. Today , I have never witnessed such excited and joyful project until the coming of our chairman, Hon. Maifata.”

According to him the project will no doubt make commercial activities more booming. “We thank him for this project.

On his part, Mohammed Jameel also commended, Maifata for the wonderful road construction.

“I was born and brought up in this area about 40 years ago. I have never seen any development as such.

“Let me also say without missing of a word that, Hon. Aminu Mua’zu Maifata deserved or we are indebted to him in the forthcoming councils election”, he submitted.

Our correspondent who visited the project site reports that the work is about 85% completed.
