Kogi East Senator, Echocho distributes tractors to constituents
Senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District, Jibrin Isah Echocho has distributed about thirteen tractors to his constituents in the nine Local Government Areas to ease their agricultural activities.
Each Local Government got one tractor each with Ankpa and Dekina having two respectively.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony of the tractors to the respective Local Government Council Chairmen, the lawmaker stressed that tractors were part of his campaign promises, adding that agriculture remains the backbone of economies the world over.
Represented by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Prosper Elijah-Salifu, Senator Echocho said tractors would assist in moving farmers from conventional subsistence farming to mechanized farming in Igala Kingdom.
He charged the beneficiaries to use the equipment to improve agricultural inputs in the Eastern part of the State.
“It is on this note that I like remind all of you here that this is part of my campaign promises. Use these agricultural implements to improve farming condition, increase food production and provide jobs for the teeming youths in Kogi East”, he said.
Receiving the equipment, the Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Area, Adejo Nicodemus who commended the senator for his recent distribution to his constituency, said Kogi East has felt the impact of the Federal Government through him.
“We thank God almighty for having Senator Jibrin Echocho for his good representation in the Senate, and we thank Governor Yahaya Bello for using him to help Kogi East”, he said.
“When You have a good leader, good things come to you. No any Senator is performing like Senator Jibril Echocho. Good things advertise itself; it is the first time we are experiencing this”, he added.

On his part, the Chairman of Omala local Government Area, Hon. Yakubu Aboh referred to the lawmaker as a man of his words for fulfilling his promises to his people and urged him to do more for futher gains of democracy.
Aboh explained that it was the second time in three weeks Chairmen were being invited by Senator Echocho to be handed agric equipment, describing the development as “novel in politics.”
“About three weeks ago the nine local Government of Kogi East gathered here to receive some agricultural implements and today we are here to receive another. I haven’t seen things of this nature since I joined politics and we need to thank him and encourage him to do more”, he said.

Ahmed Attah commeded the Senator for providing good representation to the people of Kogi East, describing him as an exceptional leader.
In the same vein, Chairman of APC Forum in Kogi East, Abubakar Agada did pour encomiums on the lawmaker, praying God for more wisdom to higher heights.
