Global Fund have included, Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital Lafia among other forty laboratories to be equipped with Gene x-pert through the Management Science
This was disclosed by the representative of Halim Associates and Consultancy handling the project, Eng. Yahaya Halim Yusuf in Lafia.
He said: “This project is not far from frantic efforts toward ensuring optimal utilization of the Gene X-pert laboratories across the country with the help of solar power supply. He explained.
Engineer Yusif added that it will ensure stable and adequate power supply to the Gene X-pert laboratories inline with World Health Organisation (WHO) recommendation for TB testing as well as deliver high quality testing of other pathogens.
Responding, Chief Medical Director, Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Dr Ikrama Hassan appreciated the firm for including DASH among hospitals to benefit from giant projects, saying, that such will not undoubtedly boost confidence in laboratories.
“Let me also used this medium to state that the solar technology will definitely assist in addressing issue of power supply, just as he pledged for utmost usage of solar power installed in the hospital.
On his part, the officer in charge of medical laboratory science, Jabes described the development that the hospital will not forget in the hurry.
“With this I can assure you that our two Gene x-pert machines and other laboratory equipment will be having constant power supply.”
