2023 presidency: Saraki visits Niger, woos PDP delegates

Former Senate President and presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Bukola Abubakar Saraki, has said that Nigeria as a nation is passing through a trying moment that need an energetic, courageous and vibrant leader that can fix the country right for the over all betterment of all.

Bukola Ssraki noted that no part of the country that is safe and secure without one insecurity or the other, stating that Nigerians as people could no longer be safe traveling by air, train and by road describing the situation as worrisome.

Addressing the PDP delegates at the party”s Secretariat in Minna at the weekend, Dr Bukola Saraki maintained that the increasing rate of kidnapping and cattle rustling and other heinous security challenges bedeviling the country under the rulling All Progressives Congress (APC), posed serous threat to the survival of the country as a nation.

According to the former Senate President, no part of the country is safe without one insecurity ranging from kidnapping for ransom and cattle rustlling, insisting that the security challenges in the North Central and North West of the country is alarming.

“No part of the country is safe. You cannot travel by air, you cannot travel by rail and you cannot even travel by road not to even talk of sleeping in your own house with your two eyes closed.

“So I’m here in Niger State which is a hotbed of the North Central State to request for your vote at the party convention, so that we can fix our dear country back to the peaceful and secured country that it used to be.

“Bukola Saraki for President 2023 is a collective project of North Central State. And that is my reason of coming to meet you the delegates to seek for your votes at the party convention.” he told the PDP delegates.

He stated further that with the current situation in the country, Nigerians at all levels regardless of tribes, and religious inclinations, the country, according to him will require that leader that will be courageous enough to face the reality on ground to surmount and confront the challenges with all sincerity of purpose to put the country on the proper track that would improve the wellbeings and the survival of the people.

“Nigerians as people have passed through the worst leadership of their lives in the history of the country.

“And my prayers is that never again should we as a nation ever experienced this unfortunate and sad experience in our democratic history as a country” he asserted.

Assuring that if voted into office as President come 2023, he will operate all inclusive goverment that every body will make an input that would propel the administration to the betterment of all citizens.

He pointed out that his administration come 2023 will involved youths, women and critical stakeholders as well professional of all endeavours that will bring about speedy development to the country, stressing the needs for the Niger State delegates to see reasons to give him their mandate at the convention.

In his good will remarks, the former governor of Niger State Dr. Mua’azu Babangida Aliyu described the former Senate President as dependable and reliable person that need to be taken with all seriousness, urging the delegates of Niger State to give him their mandate at the party primaries.

He explained that Dr. Bukola Saraki is committed to the Nigeria project as a Chairman of Nigerian givernors forum” and myself as chairman of Northern governor’s forum, we have work together and his commitment to Nigeria could best be described as Inestimable”

Council of Legal Education to release Bar II results soon

The Nigerian Council of Legal Education, the academic institute training lawyers before mobilizing for Call to the Bar said, the 2024 Bar Part results would be release any time soon.

The assurance came amid tension by the students who wrote the examination in November and are awaiting release of the results to determine if they have cleared or have to resit papers.

In a memo released and signed by the School management on Friday 28th March, 2025, the attention of candidates and the public was drawn to the fact that the Council has been working on the results and has progressed into a phase where the results will be released soon.

Part of the memo sighted by CAPITAL POST in Abuja said: Candidates who wrote the November 2024 Bar Final Examinations and the general public are hereby notified that the conventional processes leading to the publication of the results after approval by the Council of Legal Education are almost concluded.

“Candidates and the general public are assured that the results will be released shortly.

“The date for the Call to the Bar will be announced as soon as it is approved by the honourable Body of Benchers”, it concluded.
